SuperEndo Interproximal Reduction Diamond Burs (Pack of 1)

Preparation

• Review the IPR chart from the orthodontist or aligner treatment plan to identify the exact teeth and amount of reduction required
• Select the appropriate grit variant based on the IPR stage — begin with Coarse (955-045B) for heavy contacts, Medium (833-050B or 955-050C) for standard reduction, Fine (833-040F) for refining, and Extra Fine (833-035EF or 858-020EF) for final polishing
• Sterilize the bur via autoclave and attach securely to the appropriate dental handpiece before initiating the procedure

Positioning

• Apply a lip retractor and ensure adequate isolation and visibility of the target interproximal contact area
• Position the bur carefully at the interproximal contact point with correct angulation parallel to the long axis of the tooth
• Use an IPR gauge to measure the existing contact width before initiating reduction

Operation

• Activate the handpiece and apply gentle controlled strokes in a faciolingual direction through the interproximal contact area
• Progress systematically from Coarse to Medium to Fine to Extra Fine grit burs for optimal reduction quality and surface finish
• Frequently measure the interproximal space using an IPR gauge to avoid over-reduction and ensure prescribed space is achieved accurately
• Use water or air cooling during operation to minimize heat generation and protect pulpal health throughout the procedure

Post Use Care

• Polish the reduced interproximal enamel surfaces using the Extra Fine bur or polishing strip for a smooth final finish
• Apply fluoride varnish to the treated interproximal surfaces to remineralize and protect reduced enamel after IPR
• Clean the bur thoroughly using an enzymatic solution and autoclave following standard sterilization protocols for safe repeated clinical use
