MDM Bite Registration Wax

Preparation:

• Ensure the working environment is clean and the patient is ready for the bite registration process

Heating:

• Heat the MDM Bite Registration Wax to 55°C
• Use a wax heater or warm water bath to achieve the desired temperature
• The wax will become dead soft in less than 1 minute

Application:

• Remove the softened wax from the heat source carefully
• Place the wax in the patient’s mouth, ensuring it covers the occlusal surfaces where the bite needs to be recorded

Adaptation:

• Allow the wax to adapt to every detail of the bite
• Ensure the patient bites down gently to capture an accurate occlusal record

Setting:

• The wax will set quickly either by exposure to water or at room temperature (27°C)
• Allow sufficient time for the wax to harden completely before removing it from the patient’s mouth

Verification:

• Check the bite registration for accuracy
• Make any necessary adjustments to ensure a precise occlusal record

Storage:

• Store the bite registration in a cool, dry place to maintain its dimensional stability until it is needed for further procedures
